Cookie policy.
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep. This page lists every cookie this website uses, and it is a short list.
The short version
As things stand today, this website sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Nothing here measures your visit, nothing builds a profile of you, and nothing about your visit is shared with an advertising network. So at the moment there is nothing for you to consent to and no banner asking you to.
We do intend to start measuring how the website is used, using common analytics and advertising tools. That is not switched on yet. When it is, this page will change first: it will name each tool, say what it sets and what it is for, and you will be asked to agree before anything non-essential is placed on your device.
Until you see that change here, the paragraph above is the whole picture. This page is meant to describe what is actually happening, not what we intend, which is why it has not been written in advance.
What is actually used
| Cookie | Purpose | Who it affects | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps a member of Octatude staff signed in to the administration area. It is strictly necessary: without it there is no way to stay signed in. | Octatude staff only, after signing in | Until it expires or you sign out |
That cookie is never set for an ordinary visitor. So as things stand, if you have not signed in to the administration area, this website sets no cookies at all. This table is the complete list, and it is the part of the page that will grow when measurement is added.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you see and delete cookies, and block them. Because the only cookie here is the one that keeps staff signed in, blocking cookies will not affect reading the site, applying for a job, or using the chat.
